  • I know that many fans who have lived in Korea for a long time have already visited, but I hope this post finds those who still don't know about this place or accidentally missed it.I've been here three or four times myself - each time with different friends to show them this cafe. Surprisingly, I'm not tired of it yet.Floors B1 through 4F are open to visitors, each decorated differently. Inside, you'll find vintage furniture, long wooden tables, candles, books, suitcases, magic wands, and plenty of atmospheric photo zones.943 King’s Cross is not an official Harry Potter cafe, so it's more of an establishment inspired by the famous universe.📍 Address in Korean:서울 마포구 양화로16길 24 B1층~4층📍 Address in English:B1–4F, 24 Yanghwa-ro 16-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea

  • I am not a religious person, but I love to travel and visit interesting cultural sites. In the itineraries of most tourists, there is almost always at least one temple that is a must-visit. And when I plan my trips, I include at least one temple worth visiting in almost every one of my tourist routes.I enjoy the atmosphere of temples, their architecture, and the cultural experience that can be gained regardless of religion. However, during my first years of living in Korea, it seemed to me that many temples here were very similar to one another. One involuntarily starts comparing their impressions with the experience of visiting temples in Japan.Furthermore, I often came across reviews, publications, and comments from other travelers who also compared Korea and Japan.I have lived in Korea for about ten years now, while I spent only two weeks in Japan. Nevertheless, Japanese temples seemed to me much more diverse, and I wanted to understand why such an impression arises.I will share the conclusions I reached with you in this post~

  • During the hot season, it is especially important to follow the rules for storing and preparing food. Most bacteria, that cause food poisoning actively multiply at temperatures from 4 to 60 °C, and the most favorable temperature for their growth is considered to be around 35–36 °C. Therefore, the risk of food poisoning increases in summer.🧼 Wash your hands thoroughlyWash your hands with soap under running water for at least 30 seconds:before preparing and eating food;after using the toilet;after contact with raw meat, fish, and eggs;after touching trash.🔥 Cook food thoroughlyIt is recommended to cook meat and poultry to an internal temperature of at least 75 °C, and fish and seafood — at least 85 °C for at least one minute.🚰Use safe waterDrink clean water. If there are doubts about its quality, the water must be boiled.🔪🍎Wash food and kitchen utensilsThoroughly wash vegetables, fruits, knives, cutting boards, and work surfaces. Kitchen utensils must be cleaned and disinfected regularly.🥩Separate raw products from cooked onesStore raw meat, fish, and seafood separately from prepared dishes. If possible, use different knives and cutting boards to avoid cross-contamination.❄️Observe the storage temperatureRefrigerated products should be stored at a temperature no higher than 5 °C, and frozen ones — at a temperature no higher than −18 °C. It is not recommended to leave prepared dishes at room temperature for a long time: if possible, consume them within two hours after preparation.Following these simple rules will help reduce the risk of food poisoning at home, during trips, and at picnics.Save the post and share it with your loved ones — especially during the hot season.* This article was written as part of the [Gyeonggi-do Migrant Policy PR Team] activities#Gyeonggi-do Immigration and Social Integration Support Center #Gyeonggi-do Migrant Policy PR Team #6 Rules for Food Poisoning Prevention

  • 🏔🥾Hallasan Trails GuideI have prepared a detailed guide to all 7 official routes of Hallasan National Park: distance, estimated completion time, difficulty level, main checkpoints, and entrance addresses.Advance booking is required for the two trails leading to the summit and the Baengnokdam crater:Seongpanak — 성판악; Gwaneumsa — 관음사No prior registration is needed for the other routes; however, you must adhere to the designated entry times and mandatory descent start times. During unfavorable weather, certain sections or the entire route may be temporarily closed.❗️Safety PrecautionsThe weather on Hallasan can change drastically even within a single hour. Strong winds, heavy fog, rain, thunderstorms, and sudden temperature drops are possible in the upper sections of the mountain. Before your hike, be sure to:check the weather forecast and current trail status; calculate your ascent and descent times in advance; do not start the trail shortly before the entrance closes; inform relatives which route you have chosen; if possible, do not go on a long hike alone; keep your phone charged and save the emergency service number 119.Do not overestimate your strength. The Seongpanak and Gwaneumsa routes require good endurance: the total round-trip distance is about 18–19 km.🏞Code of ConductWithin the national park territory, it is mandatory to move only along designated trails. It is forbidden to leave the route, damage plants, pick flowers, or catch animals and insects.❌The following are also prohibited: smoking; consuming alcohol;lighting fires; cooking food outside specifically permitted zones; leaving trash; staying overnight in mountain shelters. All trash must be carried out with you. Mountain shelters are intended for rest and protection from the weather, not for overnight stays.☀️What to Pack in SummerEven in summer, it can be cool and windy at the summit. It is recommended to bring: comfortable trekking sneakers or boots; a light windbreaker or waterproof jacket; a hat; sunscreen and sunglasses; an adequate supply of water; light snacks; spare socks; a small medical kit; a fully charged phone and a power bank. There are no shops or permanent water sources on many routes, so water and food must be prepared in advance.❄️What to Pack in WinterWinter conditions on Hallasan are significantly more challenging. Ice and packed snow form on the trails, and the temperature at the summit can be much lower than at the coast.Mandatory winter gear: warm waterproof trekking boots; ice grips or hiking crampons; gaiters; trekking poles; thermal underwear; an insulating layer; windproof and waterproof outerwear; a hat and warm gloves; spare socks; a headlamp; a thermos with warm water; high-calorie food; a power bank. Before a winter hike, it is especially important to check if your chosen route is open. Even with a reservation, the ascent may be canceled due to heavy snowfall, wind, or icing. You can book a visit to the Seongpanak and Gwaneumsa routes, as well as check the current status of the trails, on the official website:visithalla.jeju.go.krSave this guide so you don't lose it, and choose a route based on your physical fitness, the season, and weather conditions~
