In the infographics, you can find the English translation of the Ministry of Justice's announcement regarding the "Consolidation of H-2 and F-4 Visas"
Key Points:
1) No discrimination based on citizenship: if a person is confirmed to be an overseas compatriot, they will be granted a visa and 
F-4 residency status.
2) New issuance of "Visit and Employment (H-2)" visas will cease; however, current H-2 status holders 
may remain in Korea until their maximum permitted period of stay expires.
3) (+10 permitted occupations) simple laborer in construction; simple laborer in the mining industry; manual 
packager; manual labeler/tagger; gas station attendant; store shelf stocker/merchandiser; parking guide/attendant (staff directing parking); vending machine attendant; simple laborer for loading and unloading cargo; other simple laborers for 
loading and unloading cargo.
4) Upon submission of documents proving Level 1 proficiency in the Korea Immigration and Integration Program (KIIP), 
a 3-year period of stay is granted (visa term is 2 years). If not submitted, the period of stay is 1 year.
From January 1, 2029, the KIIP requirement will increase to Level 3, while 
① the current Level 1 applies until December 31, 2026,
② Level 2 applies from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2028.
5) For individuals with KIIP Level 5 who have completed elementary and high school in Korea or 
obtained a bachelor's degree or higher in Korea, if their income is at least 70% of the previous year's GNI, this 
is recognized as meeting the income requirement for Permanent Residency (F-5) for overseas compatriots.
6) For those with at least 100 hours of volunteer service within the last 6 months (verified by a "certificate of 
results/record" from the Korea Central Volunteer Center), if their income is at least 80% of the previous year's GNI, this 
is recognized as meeting the income requirement for Permanent Residency (F-5) for overseas compatriots.
