Why might Korean temples seem similar?

I am not a religious person, but I love to travel and visit interesting cultural sites. In the itineraries
of most tourists, there is almost always at least one temple that is a must-visit. And when I plan my trips, I include at least one temple worth visiting in almost every one of my tourist routes.
I enjoy the atmosphere of temples, their architecture, and the cultural experience that can be gained regardless of religion.
However, during my first years of living in Korea, it seemed to me that many temples here were very similar to one another. One involuntarily
starts comparing their impressions with the experience of visiting temples in Japan.
Furthermore, I often came across reviews, publications, and comments from other travelers who also compared
Korea and Japan.
I have lived in Korea for about ten years now, while I spent only two weeks in Japan. Nevertheless, Japanese temples seemed to me
much more diverse, and I wanted to understand why such an impression arises.
I will share the conclusions I reached with you in this post~
