Dear readers, Happy March 8th!
For many of us, this day has been associated since childhood with spring, flowers, warm words, and attention to women. But March 8th
is also about respect, dignity, choice, rights, and the voice of women in society. That is why I want to start this post by
wishing you warmth, strength, support, inner confidence, and people by your side who truly respect you and your path.
First and foremost, I would like to convey one important thought to the readers of this blog: as feminist
researchers note, the popularity of feminism always means the popularity of a specific version of it.
That is precisely why, when we talk about feminism, it is important to understand that it is not something unified and homogeneous. There are
different waves, branches, and movements within feminist activism, and each has its own focus, history, and methods.
So, in honor of March 8th, I want to introduce you to basic information about the waves of feminism and tell you a bit about
popular directions and trends specifically related to the fourth wave of feminism in Korea.
In Korea, radical feminist movements are particularly prominent. There are many reasons for this, but this post will not contain deep analysis or detailed discussions on the subject. Here, I simply want to provide general introductory information about
feminist trends in Korea so that readers have more context and a better understanding of the topic.

Once again, Happy March 8th to everyone. May this day be not only beautiful but also truly warm,
respectful, and meaningful.
