Starting January 2, 2026 (Friday), the "Online Notification System for Employment and Foreigner Information" will be implemented, allowing foreigners engaged in profitable activities to conveniently submit employment information online without personally visiting immigration and foreigner affairs offices.

Foreigners engaged in commercial/profitable, labor activities, when applying for a visit appointment at the immigration and foreigner affairs office through the HiKorea website (hikorea.go.kr), can simply submit (update) their employment information.
 

If changes occur (change in declared profession or industry; change in declared annual income range), notification must be submitted within 15 days of the change.

Please note that there are two categories: 1) Notification submission upon visit booking  
2) Online notification submission.

Submitting a notification through a visit booking is necessary to simultaneously book a visit and update employment information, so that immigration can immediately see the current information and there will be no problems during the reception.

If you do NOT need to visit the immigration office, simply follow point 2 (online submission).
